A beautiful original antique French cartel wall clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is well made of gilded brass in a bold Baroque style. The superb, large enamel dial has a brass centre, original fretted blued steel hands and convex glass. It is signed for the retailer on the the dial. Above the dial is a Baroque broken arch pediment and to the sides are stylised columns. The clock is decorated with mythical creatures, stylised foliage and a lyre above the dial.

Stunning original antique French clock. The style is Rococo, waisted keyhole shape with acanthus leaf shoulders, 'C' scroll feet and surmounted by a flamboyant finial. It stands on its original integral base. Curved fretted panels backed with red velvet are inserted into the sides, with a smaller one to the front and rear. The design is beautifully bold and heavily modelled in fine gilded brass.

 A stunning, large and rare swinging mystery clock, please don't mistake this clock for the far more numerous small swinging mystery clocks, this one stands at over 3 ft in height. She is entitled Brise d'Automne (Autumn Breeze) and is by the well known and listed sculptor Auguste Louis Mathurin Moreau. She holds the large pendulum aloft which swings gently to-and-fro. A substantial and glorious, original early antique French clock of the most stunning quality and condition. Standing at almost 2 feet in height, it is most exquisitely modelled in ormolu (fire gilded bronze or doré bronze), in excellent clean and bright original condition. It dates from around 1830 and features and artist, resting on an ancient architectural ruin, drawing in a sketch book. To his side is his folio, Mahl Stick and brushes.

The red shell veneer has mellowed to a lovely antique red-brown with plenty of character.

A magnificent silvered brass cartel clock featuring a knight and two Lions Rampant standing guard above the clock. It is 33 1/2 inches in height and is profusely and boldly decorated, the knight is particularly well modelled. He stands guard in a niche above the dial, flanked by the lions. Below the lions are a pair of grotesque masks. The large dial is designed with a fire breathing dragon to the centre.
