A very large and stunning early clock, dating from around 1770, from the time of the reign of Louis XVI. Clocks of this age are very rare and this one has survived 240 years in remarkably original condition including probably the original key. It is classical in style, beautifully modelled in ormolu (fire gilded bronze) and decorated with a classical lions trophy.

A stunning Rococo boudoir clock by the well known maker Japy Freres. It is very good quality and beautifully modelled in gilded brass with intricate and well chased detail. A beautiful original antique French Rococo cartel wall clock by Japy Freres. It is a delicate, asymmetric design. To one side is a scroll with a fretted panel and to the other a floral swag with a snake entwined around a branch. An acanthus scroll sits on the top of the clock and a bold 'C' scroll beneath the dial with a ribbon and bow. Behind the 'C' scroll, the pendulum can be seen swinging gently. This is very well made clock with sharp detail and a bright finish.

It is of grand proportions, finely made in gilded brass, with reeded Corinthian columns, stepped break front base and top with scalloped edges. The heavy gilt brass pendulum swings gently within the case and the jewelled Brocot dead-beat pin-pallet is visible within the dial. The movement is also visible within the case.

A large, bold and stunning original antique French brass Rococo cartel clock, classic Rococo asymmetrical shape with bold and flamboyant scrolls and foliage. It is beautifully modelled in gilt brass, scrolling foliage forms the case, backed with fretwork backed with gilded brass. To the shoulders are leaves and flowers and an ornate finial sits on the top. The superb large dial is enamel on copper with a brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands and convex bevelled glass.

 A stunning, large and rare swinging mystery clock, please don't mistake this clock for the far more numerous small swinging mystery clocks, this one stands at over 3 ft in height. She is entitled Brise d'Automne (Autumn Breeze) and is by the well known and listed sculptor Auguste Louis Mathurin Moreau. She holds the large pendulum aloft which swings gently to-and-fro.
