A large, unusual and very decorative original French antique cartel wall clock. It is classical in design, hanging from a large gilt brass bow with a laurel wreath. The clock is mounted in a toleware body with original blue painted finish. Below the dial is an eagle with cornucopia to each side, heavily modelled in gilt brass.

Antique French Ormolu, Bronze and White Marble Clock - Bacchus and Ariadne

A large and stunning, original French antique, classically designed clock of exceptional quality. White marble base is mounted with ormolu (fine gilded bronze or bronze doré) and patinated bronze.  It features Bacchus and Ariadne with a panther, eating grapes and drinking wine. Both figures are beautifully modelled and finished in bronze with a lovely deep brown patina.

Japy Freres Antique French Gilt Brass Clock

A very decorative, original antique French gilt brass cartel wall clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is classical, Louis XVI in style, restrained symmetrical shape with scroll shoulders, an urn to the top and acanthus swags. A fretted panel below the dial allows the pendulum to be seen swinging within the case.

A stunning, large, Japy Freres table clock. It is beautifully modelled in gilded brass and features cherub pillars to the sides and a large flamboyant finial. It has it's original integral base upon which mythical creatures carry the clock above stylised waves. The front of the clock is fretted to allow the pendulum to be glimpsed swinging within.

A Stunning Antique French clock set by the Italian sculptor O. Ruffony entitled Les Favoris (The Favourites).

It features a beautifully modelled figure of a young woman, reclining with a bouquet of flowers and a pair of birds. It is in very good condition.

A very decorative and impressive, original antique French cartel wall clock. It is beautifully modelled in gilded brass, in the Louis XVI style. A symmetric keyhole shape decorated with floral swags and acanthus leaves. It features a large enamel on copper dial, off-white with blued steel hands and an egg-and-dart bezel. To the top of the clock is a large elaborate urn.

A stunning and large original antique French gilded brass clocks set. It is of the most beautiful Rococo style, waisted case decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and floral swags. Candelabra have 5 elaborate acanthus arms and large original snuffers to match the final of the clock.
