Antique French Gilt Bronze Rococo Clock by Samuel Marti ~ French - Circa 1900 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~ A stunning original antique French Rococo clock. It is beautifully modelled in gilded bronze, of waisted shape, profusely and boldly decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and trailing foliage. To the top is an elaborate urn. The front is fretted to allow a glimpse of the pendulum gently swinging within.

The dial is cream porcelain enamel on copper with blue lettering and a separate minute ring. It is complete with original finely fretted hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Samuel Marti. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video below to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, it is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage.
