A beautiful pair of antique French Louis XVI style candelabra.
Made in crisp white Carrara marble and ormolu (finely gilded bronze doré). The bases have scrolled
brackets and a floral swag. A classical urn supports the three branches formed
of scrolling acanthus. Flame finial snuffers sit in the central sconce when not
in use.

Condition is
excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some wear
to the high spots and some slight discolouration. The marble is crisp and clean
with some slight nibbles to the edges and some very minor marks in places.
