City of Nottingham at Willesden Shed by Warwick Richardson
~~ Excellent condition, ready to hang ~~
A beautifully detailed railway painting by Warwick Richardson, titled:
“Coronation Pacific 46251 City of Nottingham Reverses off Turntable – Class 5
73138 Foreground, Willesden Shed.” This evocative scene captures a
quintessential moment from the final years of British steam. In the foreground,
British Railways Standard Class 5 No. 73138 rests under a depot canopy, while
the mighty Coronation Class Pacific No. 46251 “City of Nottingham” glides across a turntable in the background. Billowing steam, warm depot light, and exquisite architectural detail lend drama and authenticity to the composition.
In lovely condition, a few marks to the frame, slight chip to the
bottom left hand corner. Framed and ready to hang. Signed and dated 1992
and titled to the reverse.
