Antique French Four Glass Crystal Regulator Clock Set in Onyx and Ormolu ~ French - Circa 1900 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~ A beautiful original antique French four glass regulator clock set of the most beautiful cream and orange specimen onyx by A. D. Mougin. It is classical in style with ormolu mounts of flame finials, swept acanthus feet and beveled glass to show the mercury compensated pendulum gently swinging.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with delicately painted floral swags and finely fretted gilt hands..

The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Mercury compensated pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The onyx is also in excellent condition, some very small nibbles in places, some very slight discolouration and a couple of small chips to the urn covers. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage. The glass is also excellent with no damage.
