A stunning original antique clock, French in the Rococo style, featuring elaborate 'C' scrolls and flowing foliage. It is beautifully modelled in gilded brass with a lovely clean and bright finish. The dial is the sort after cream with blue lettering and separate outside minute ring. It has finely fretted blued steel hands and convex glass fitted to the Rococo bezel. The rear door is also glazed to allow the movement to be seen. Please scroll down for more pictures. 

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. It has the superior Brocot pin-palette escapement. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. There is a light scratch on the glazed back door. A stunning clock to add to your collection.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
