Stunning Large Antique French Gilt Bronze Rococo Clock by Vincenti

A stunning and very large original antique French gilded bronze clock. It is of the most beautiful Rococo style, asymmetric waisted case decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and floral swags. To the top is a large elaborate urn with acanthus handles and finial. This is a stunning, very large clock with a superb original gild.
 

The beautiful, large enamel dial is lettered with separate minute and hour rings and is complete with the original finely cut gilt brass hands. The heavy Rococo bezel is fitted with convex glass and the rear door is fitted with frosted glass.

The French movement is by Vincenti and has the clockmakers mark on the movement backplate. It is of excellent quality and is in very good clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a large sonorous bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition just a small mark near the 6 o'clock. A very large and stunning clock to add to your collection!
