Antique French Gilt Brass Boudoir Clock Set

A very decorative small sized boudoir clock set, perfect for a narrow mantle shelve. It is an original antique French example, beautifully styled in gilt brass with acanthus and floral swags, a stylised urn to the front and an urn to the top. Candelabra are matching in style four delicate branches mounted on urns. The dial is enamel on copper with a brass centre. It is signed for the retailer and is complete with finely cut blued steel hands.    

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition just a small chip next to the right hand winding hole. Candelabra are slightly distorted. The set makes a stunning display as you can see below.
