The lovely rope pattern bezel is unusual in being silvered which contrasts nicely with the gilt bronze. It is fitted with convex glass. The dial is cream enamel on copper and is slightly sculptured. It is complete with it's original blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and has the 'Japy Freres Grande Medaille D'Honneur' mark on the movement backplate. It is in excellent running condition having been fully overhauled and tested by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with a clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear and tarnish. The dial has some very slight nibbles around the winding holes. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted. A lovely and unusual Gothic clock set to add to your collection.

Japy Freres 'Grande Medaille D'Honneur' mark on the movement backplate.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.

About us - All of our clocks are original antiques, we source most of our clocks in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. We prefer to buy our clocks in original 'dirty' condition. We then clean the cases using a technique we have developed over many years. We employ two qualified clockmakers who overhaul the movements. Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they will run trouble free.
