A Rare Swinging Cherub Clock

An interesting and very decorative clock with a cherub seated on a swing acting as the pendulum. The gilt metal case as 4 slender twisted columns with continuum capitals. The top is surmounted by a nesting bird and the front has a classical mask

The movement is of excellent quality and runs reliably for 8 days - this is the more reliable version with a single escape wheel and two parallel pin pallets. We have cleaned and serviced the movement - the movement is in full working order and keeps reasonably good time although please note this is a novelty clock.  

 The case is in good condition with no losses or damage. The gilt is in very good condition and the enamel on copper dial is perfect.

A great find for the collector and a very decorative addition to your home!
