A large and stunning brass cased clock by the Famous maker Japy Freres. The style is French Gothic with swirling foliage, lions mask handles, hairy paw feet and a cherub mask. The heavy and well modelled and the brass has a lovely clean and bright finish.

The dial is enamel on copper and has the original blued steel hands and a cast brass centre.

The Japy Freres movement is of excellent quality and runs for 8 days, strikes on a bell and is in excellent, clean and running condition.  It is complete with the original pendulum and bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell

Condition of the case is excellent - there are no losses and the finish of the brass is bright and clean. The enamel dial is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
