Stunning Antique French Brass Clock Set.

A stunning antique French brass clock set, classical in style and in excellent clean and bright condition. The clock features a fretted panel to the front allowing the pendulum to be glimpsed swinging within the case. Clock case and candelabra are mounted with mythical creatures and have elegant scroll feet. Candelabra have the original snuffers which sit in the central sconce to match the clock.   

The dial is enamel on copper with a brass centre. It is complete with blued steel hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some minor wear on the high spots and some slight discolouration. Candelabra are slightly distorted. The dial is also in good condition with just some slight chipping / hairlines near the winding holes.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required
