~ French - Circa 1860 ~ ~~ Excellent Condition ~~ Gorgeous French cartel clock, beautifully modelled in classic asymmetric Rococo design - 'C' scrolls, ribbons and floral swags - a snake entwines the foliage on the left hand side, and a ribbon ties the little flowers at the bottom. The movement is of excellent quality, runs for 8 days and strikes half hourly on a bell. The brass case is in excellent condition - clean and bright. The dial is enamel on copper, has some slight chipping around the winding holes and the regulator shaft at the 12 o'clock. The movement is in excellent clean and running condition.
