A very pretty French Boudoir clock, beautifully made from gilded brass. The case is architecturally modelled and decorated with mythical creatures and flowing foliage. The front of the case is finely fretted, allowing the pendulum to be seen swinging inside. The modelling of the case is beautiful and is of the highest quality with sharp detail and the original gilding is clean, bright and fresh.

The beautiful, enamel on copper dial and delicately fretted blued steel hands are original.

French movement is by A .D. Mougin, a maker of high quality, their mark is on the movement backplate. It runs for 8 days and is in excellent, clean and running condition having been fully cleaned and overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement.

Condition of the case is excellent - there are no losses and the finish of the gilding is bright and clean. The enamel dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The clock displays beautifully as you can see below!
