A stunning gilt brass Rococo Cartel clock; classic Rococo asymmetrical shape with 'C' scrolls, foliage and basket fretted bottom. The dial is enamel on copper with blue lettering and the original gilt brass fretted hands. The modelling is crisp and well detailed with a bright and clean finish.    

Japy Freres movement is of superb quality, runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. It is compete with an old replacement pendulum. The movement is in excellent condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. 

Condition of the case is excellent with a bright and clean finish, there is some wear to the original gilding and some minor discolouration in places. The dial is in very good condition with no chips or scratches. There is some minor fading to the blue lettering. 

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
