Magnificent Clock Garniture - Vincenti et Cie.

A huge (28" in height!) and quite stunning clock and candelabra set. It is classical in style with swirling foliage, floral swags, ribbons and bows. The candelabra each have conforming bases with an urn with 5 branches. It is finely modelled in gilt brass which has the majority of the original gilding remaining. Although large and heavy, the design is lightened by open fret work in both the front of the clock and the candelabra bases.      

The dial is enamel on copper and is beautifully decorated with floral swags.

The French movement is of the highest quality and is by the well known maker Vincenti et Cie,  it has the makers mark on the back plate. Our clockmaker has cleaned and serviced the movement - it is in excellent clean and running condition. The pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with a beautiful, clean and bright finish, the majority of the original gilding is present with some wear, tarnish and discouloration. The dial is also in excellent condition with no chips and scratches.

The clock will be supplied complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
