Antique French Rococo Gilt Brass

A very pretty Rococo boudoir clock, beautifully made from gilt brass, which is in excellent original condition. Style is typically Rococo, waisted balloon shape decorated with floral swags and scrolls. Dial is enamel on copper with a cast centre and is complete with the original blued steel hands and convex bevelled glass.

The French movement is of excellent quality, runs for 8 days and strikes half-hourly on a bell. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. We have replaced the missing bell and pendulum. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!

Condition of the case is excellent. Gilding is in superb original condition with just some minor wear in places. Dial is also in very god condition with no chips or scratches.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
