Very Large Antique French Clock Set

A very large and well made French clock set. The modelling is of high quality with crisp edges and is heavy. The style is French gothic, formed as a romantic ruin with flowing foliage, grotesque masks and hairy paw feet. The front of the clock is fretted as are the vases of the candelabra. The candelabra are 6 light and are also very well made and heavy. This is a large heavy and impressive clock set in lovely clean and bright condition.

French movement is of excellent quality and is by Vincenti et Cie. The movement runs for 8 days and strikes on a bell. We have cleaned and serviced the movement - it  is in excellent, clean and running condition and is complete with a replacement pendulum and bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell strike!

A suitable key and setting up instructions will be supplied.

Condition of the case and candelabra is excellent, there are no losses and the finish of the brass is clean and bright. There is some very minor wear in places and also some slight discolouration. The dial is in good condition some faint hairlines and some minor chipping around the winding holes.
