Superb Antique French Clock Set

A stunning Rococo clock set, beautifully modelled in gilt brass which is in lovely clean and bright condition. The clock is a classic keyhole shape with flowing foliage and a fretted panel to the front, allowing the pendulum to be seen.

The 5 light candelabra are modelled with matching urns and bases, with the arms of the candelabra as branches of foliage. The dial is enamel on copper and is delicately painted with a floral swag.

The French movement has the makers mark on the back plate and is of high quality. The movement runs for 8 days and strikes on a bell. We have cleaned and serviced the movement - it  is in excellent, clean and running condition and is complete with an old replacement pendulum and bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell strike!

A suitable key and setting up instructions will be supplied.

Condition of the case and candelabra is excellent, there are no losses and the finish of the gilt brass is clean and bright. There is some very minor wear in places and also some slight discolouration. The dial is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
