Large Antique French Clock Set

A stunning clock set in excellent clean and bright condition. Style is Louis XV and the modelling is excellent with fine, crisp and detailed finishing. The clock features a waisted shape with an applied shield to the front which is repeated on the candelabra bases. The bases of the clock and the candelabra are beautifully fretted with floral swags and foliage.

Dial is enamel on copper with a brass centre and is complete with the original blued steel hands.

The French movement is of excellent quality and runs for 8 days, striking on a bell. We have replaced the missing pendulum with one faithful to the original design. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!

Condition of the case is excellent with a bright and clean finish and no losses. There are some very, very slight surface marks, tarnish / discolouration in places. Dial is also in excellent condition with just a faint hairline next to the left winding hole. The candelabra arms are very slightly distorted.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
