3 ft Antique English Turret Clock Dial and Movement by Brandreth and Walker  ~ Birmingham ~ English - Dated 1888 ~ ~~ Good original condition for restoration ~~ A rare and desirable cast iron turret clock dial with copper backing and gilt tin hands, 3 ft in diameter, a good size for interior or exterior use. The dial is in lovely original condition, you could re-paint it but it looks great as it is. It was salvaged from the cadets building in Northampton. It comes with it's movement, a well made timepiece movement, complete with pendulum and drive shaft.

Condition of the dial is very good with lovely old paint, some slight marks to the copper backing. On the back of the dial is the remote motion work which looks to be in good condition, some wear to the gears but really just requires cleaning. The counter weight for the minute hand is there. The movement is also in good condition but requires cleaning and restoring, comes with the pendulum (may not be original but is perfectly useable), retaining brackets and a short drive shaft for the dial, the weight and winding crank are missing. The Brandreth and Walker signature is on the subsidiary dial on the movement.

A rare and desirable dial and movement, ideal to restore and install on your stable, garage etc or very decorative for interior design.
