A very chic antique French library four glass crystal regulator with Cloisonné or Champlevé enamel decoration to the front along with bow front glass. The four sides are glazed with beveled glass to allow the mercury compensated pendulum to be seen gently swinging and the fastidiously restored movement to be seen functioning. The top and base are of the most beautifully variegated, specimen green onyx. The metal work is finely gilded brass.

The pretty dial is enamel on copper with delicately painted floral swags between the numbers and blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Mercury compensated pendulum is original and is designed to compensate for the effects of temperature. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a coiled gong. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some minor wear in places. The dial is also in excellent condition just some faint hairlining. The glass is in excellent condition. The onyx is in very good condition with a hairline on the right hand side of the base and some minor nibbles to the edges. 

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
