Japy Freres candelabra clock set.

A very decorative clock set by the famous maker Japy Freres - it is in excellent original condition with the majority of the gilding in bright, crisp condition. The style is French gothic with lots of swirling foliage and masks of mythical creatures and the modelling is heavy and crisp.

The Japy Freres movement is in excellent clean and running condition and is complete with the original pendulum. The dial is enamel on copper and is in very good condition - there is some very, very slight scratching near the 7 o'clock position.

Condition of the case is very good with no losses or damage. The gilding of the brass is clean and bright and looks wonderful as you can see in the pictures below.
