A magnificent classical clock of grand proportions, standing at over 2 feet in height. The case is heavy brass, mounted with hairy paw feet, classical masks and surmounted by and urn. This is of the highest quality, with a cartouche dial in the manner of the 18th century examples, and the best square plate movement - as you can see in the picture below.

The French movement is the large square plate version of the Pendule De Paris movement. It strikes the hours and halves on a bell and runs for 8 days on one wind, it is in excellent clean and working order having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker.

Condition of the case is excellent, the finish of the brass is very good - the flat surfaces of the case are a mellow antique gold, with the feet and masks being brighter. The dial is also very good with no chips or scratches.
