Fine Ormolu and White Marble Clock Set by Vincenti ~ French
- Circa 1890 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled and running ~~
A very fine and stunning ormolu (finely gilded
bronze) and white marble clock set in the Louis XVI style. Exquisitely modelled,
this is a large, heavy and finely detailed set. It features a putto standing on
a pile of books, playfully grabbing a cockerel or rooster le coq gaulois,
the symbol of the French nation and also symbolising alertness. The candelabra
are formed as cherubs, one as a young faun, holding the candelabra branches,
formed as foliage. Using our secure server ~~ or ~~ £6450 English Pounds Sterling Shipping within UK £30 Shipping to USA / Europe £165 by air fully insured World wide shipping - £225 by air fully insured stock code: RSC2360

About us
- All of our clocks are original antiques, we source most of our clocks in
France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. We prefer to buy our clocks in
original 'dirty' condition. We then clean the cases using a technique we have
developed over many years. We employee two qualified clockmakers who overhaul
the movements. Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they
will run trouble free.
