Beautiful Classical French Candelabra Clock Set - S Marti et Cie

A large and stunning antique French clock set of Classical design. The clock is modelled as a classical ruin, draped with floral swags. A quiver of arrows and a bow on the clock and flaming torches on the candelabra bases. The front of the clock is open fret work which adds a delicacy to the design. The enamel dial is cream with blue hour lettering and black minutes. The delicate gilt brass hands are original to the clock.

The casting of the clock and candelabra are of the highest quality and the set looks great as you can see in the pictures. Candelabra are complete with original snuffers. This is a large, heavy, high quality clock set.

The beautiful original enamel dial and the gilt brass hands are in excellent condition. French movement is by S Marti et Cie and is of excellent quality and runs for 8 days and strikes on a bell and is in excellent, clean and running condition - it is complete with the original bell and a replacement pendulum.

The finish of the brass is very good - bright and clean. There are some small areas of wear or discoloration. There is no damage to the dial.
