Stunning French Bronzed Metal Figural Clock - Warriors

A large and impressive bronzed metal and black marble mantle clock depicting medieval warrior soldiers relaxing between battle, with a game of dice. Great modelling, the helms, breast plates and broad swords with fine intricate details. And the men themselves are powerfully depicted - gladiators, straight from Mythology, the Saga's or Middle Earth.

The movement is of excellent quality, runs for 8-days and strikes on a bell every half hour. The dial is marble, engraved and heightened with gilt. Original good quality egg and dart bezel and the brass hands look great.

The condition of the case is very good with a good bronze colour there is some very minor wear from years of cleaning as you would expect. We have polished the case with bronze wax. The black marble has a good finish. We have repaired the back feet which can not be seen from the front of the clock. There is a very small piece of decoration missing from the foliage on the back of the clock - this is only noticeable on close very inspection. There is nothing missing from the figures.

Condition of the movement is excellent - our clockmaker has cleaned and serviced the movement. It keeps good time and runs very well. We have replaced the missing pendulum.
