Superb Gilded Rococo Clock Set

A stunning gilt brass clock set by the famous maker Louis Japy. The original gilding is in excellent clean and bright condition. Clock is lyre shaped in the style of Louis XV, decorated with floral swags and surmounted by an urn. Candelabra conforming and surmounted by 5 lights.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Louis Japy, their mark is on the movement backplate. It runs for 8 days and strikes half hourly on a bell.  It has been fully overhauled by our clock maker who has replaced the missing bell. The clock is complete with its original pendulum. Condition of the case is excellent with good original gilding which is bright and clean. There are no losses to the case or candelabra. The dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
