Gothic Clock Set.

A large and stunning Gothic brass clock set modelled as a castle and decorated with medieval trophies. The front of the clock is styled as a knight with a lion and is fretted to allow the pendulum to be seen swinging. The top of the clock forms the roof of the castle and is surmounted by a torch bearer. The candelabra have conforming bases which are surmounted by 5 light candelabra. These are styled as gothic tracery with a fleur-de-lys torch� forming the sconce. The candelabra are modelled in the round and the back door of the clock is glazed to allow the movement to be seen, the clock set could be displayed on a table in the centre of your room.

The dial is enamel on copper and is compete with the original blued steel hands.

The antique French movement is by Fritz Marti and it is of excellent quality. It runs for 8 days and is in very good clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker and is complete with the original pendulum. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!

The case is in excellent original condition, bright and fresh with hardly any wear or discolouration. The is an old repair to one back leg on one of the candelabra, this is not visible except on very close inspection. The enamel dial is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The set displays very well as you can see in the pictures below.

Complete with original pendulum and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
