Antique French Rococo Boudoir Clock

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled & running ~~

A lovely original antique French Rococo boudoir clock. Typical asymmetric, waisted designed with laurel leaves, 'C' scrolls and floral swags. The dial is cream enamel on copper with delicate floral swags between the Roman numerals and finely fretted gilt brass hands. It is signed with the Paris retailers name and has a Rococo acanthus bezel.

The French movement is of very high quality and has the A.D. Mougin mark on the movement backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some minor wear on the high spots. The dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.

We then clean the cases using a technique we have developed over many years. We employee two qualified clockmakers who overhaul the movements. Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they will run trouble free.
