Antique French Rococo Clock Set - Large and Stunning.

A Fabulous Antique Rococo clock set, typical Rococo design with swirling foliage, 'C' scrolls and the highlight being the candelabra arms modelled as foliage twirled together. The set is made from gilt brass, very well modelled with and excellent clean and bright gilding. Standing at over 2 feet in height, this clock set would make a stunning centre piece for any room. The enamel dial is elegantly lettered and is slightly convex, fitted with the original delicately fretted gilt brass hands and is covered by convex bevelled glass. 

Antique French movement runs for 8 days and strikes half-hourly on a bell. It has been fully restored in our workshop and is on excellent clean and running condition. The pendulum is an old replacement. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!

Condition of the case is excellent with a bright and clean finish, some wear on the high spots. Dial is also in excellent condition with just a couple of slight nibbles round the winding holes. The candelabra arms are very slightly distorted and there are a couple of minor stress cracks due to the intricate nature of the design.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
