The dial is enamel on copper (porcelain on copper) and is complete with original fine Breguet hands. The French movement is by Silvant of Paris and is a small early version of the Pendule de Paris movement with silk suspension. The clockmakers make is inscribed on the backplate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running! Condition of the case is excellent with no damage, just some very slight wear on the edges and where the clock sits on the base. Most of the over glaze gilt decoration is in fine condition with only slight rubbing The dial has been restored in the past.
